This blend supports shadow work, scrying, banishment and protection magic, release, hedge-crossing, and otherworld spirit flight. Use in rites or meditations the night before the new moon or in the three days leading up to it - or at any point during the lunation when the summoning of similar virtues is desired.

To use, light a charcoal disc and place atop a bed of salt or sand in a cast iron cauldron or ceramic vessel. Once glowing and grey, add a pinch of incense to the burning coal and repeat as desired. Charcoal sustains a high heat once alight - always set upon a fireproof surface and never leave unattended.
